We all know toddlers love to be involved in what mum and dad ‘do’. But they can also be unpredictable, and disappear in the blink of an eye.

Other than setting up a play pen, or waiting until nap times, it can be difficult to get on with all the daily chores that need doing on a working or hobby farm.

A toddler hiking carrier is another option to keep your little one safe while you conduct vital farm jobs, and lets them learn by watching over the shoulder of mum, dad or a grandparent.

Here’s 10 reasons farmers will find working with children easier with a Panda Carrier.

  1. Know where your child is – ALL the time.
  2. Carry their snacks and nappies in the Panda Carrier’s many pockets while you walk and work, or use the pockets for the eggs you collect.
  3. A Panda Carrier is more comfortable for your child on bumpy paths than a pram.
  4. Carrying them prevents them from running towards and startling livestock.
  5. Let them “help” and learn while keeping them safe from water or other dangers like snakes or machinery.
  6. Protect your back and shoulders with even distribution of weight.
  7. No need to run back and forth to the house – the carrier lets your child nap while you work so you are always there when they wake up. Some will find the gentle rocking combined with the comfortable head rest lets your little pocket rocket catch up on much needed zzzs.
  8. Use the carrier for indoor chores too – many older babies/younger toddlers are quite happy watching over the shoulder of a parent preparing a meal or doing dishes.
  9. It will grow with your child – four year olds will still fit in the carrier once they tire of chores, making the return to the house easier.
  10. A Panda Carrier has a pull out stand which makes it easy for one parent to load a child and get it on their back by themselves, while the other is out in the far paddocks.
